â–  What Is a Stun gun?

 

 

A stun gun is a illegal electrical self-defense device that puts out a high voltage shock in Malaysia. By touching an intruder with the gun, the person can be immobilized for several minutes with no permanent harm.

 

 

 

Which is the best defensive tools: stun gun or pepper spray?

 

 

 

They both have benefits and pitfalls. Stun gun can only be used at close contact with an attacker, while pepper spray is "distance weapon" which is designed to work on and repel an attacker before he reaches you. Pepper spray's range is generally 5-10 ft., depending on model. Pepper spray must be sprayed in the face in order to be effective, while stun gun works anywhere on body. The electric of stun gun cannot pass through some leather material such as leather jacket.

 

 

 

â–  How does stun gun work?

 

 

 

The way a stun gun works is by interrupting the communication signals from the brain to the body. A stun gun does not harm a person permanently; it only temporarily disrupts the way our body works. A stun gun won’t cause damage in the long run because the electricity that it emits into a person’s body is very high voltage but low amperage electrical charge. In this way, the charge is not intense enough to cause any long term damage to the person.

 

 

 

When triggered, the stun gun emits a bright, intimidating electrical blast and makes a very loud popping noise that will attract the attention of anyone within earshot.
As you press the stun gun and deliver the shock to attackers, the electric shock delivered by the stun gun will combine with the electric signals from the brain and this will confuse their bodies and make them hard to move. This causes disorientation and loss of balance and leaves the attacker in a passive and confused condition for several minutes.

 

 

 

â–  How to use a stun gun?

 

 

 

We recommended that you have your stun gun out and ready when you feel in a potential unsafe area such as a parking lot or while jogging in a park. Be familiar with your own safety devices and make a habit of it.
To use a stun gun, hold the electrodes firmly against the best contact points (upper hip, below the rib cage or the upper shoulders), where are the never points centered. However, when a stun gun touches at any point of the body, an arm or leg for example, it will stun that limb but it may not affect their whole body.
As a rule of thumb – aim for any area on the torso. Make sure to hold the stun gun against the assailants as long as possible to incapacitate them and permit you more time to escape. (1-5 seconds depending on voltage). Longer stunning period is required if an assailant is large or using a low voltage stun gun.

★什么是电击棒?  

 

 

 

在马来西亚电击棒是非法电子自卫器。电击棒是一种利用强电流电击有效打击犯罪的防卫器材。只要电击棒接触攻击者，就可使对方暂时失去力量，无法动弹数分钟。有效打击犯罪却不会对人体造成永久的伤害。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

★电击棒的功能?

 

 

 

电击棒主要的功能是利用中断脑神经传导系统来达到防卫做用。
當你發射電擊棒時，电击器会发出一种强力闪电、骇人刺耳声响，引起周遭围的人注意并让歹徒知难而退。若是对歹徒发射电击，高压电伏会在瞬间释放导入对方体内，并影响此人的脑神经传导系统，使他们暂时失去行为控制能力。此电击可使被电击者失去平衡，产生无力感晕眩数分钟。此时，你便可有充足的时间逃离现场場，并寻求援助。

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

★电击棒会造成人体造成永久的伤害?  

 

 

 

电击的形成是由通过身体的电流决定的，并不是电压。高压电线的电阻不高，因此造成高电流，而真正造成伤害的原因是高电流。

 

 

 

电击棒所产生的电流是高电压、低电流。此电流并不是似一般电线杆或插头产生的高压电 (高电压、高电流) 因此不会对人体造成永久的伤害。一般一百瓦特的电灯泡，接在交流电源上，电流差不多有一安培(1A)。然而可对人体造成伤害的电流差不多是十的负三到负二次方安培(0.001A~0.01A)就足够的。0.001A的电流就会让人侦测到；0.01A的电流就会产生痛觉；0.02A的电流就会让肌肉收缩，也就是一般手抓着电线被电到却放不开的原理；0.05A的电流就会让肌肉受伤害；0.1A的电流会造成心脏的纤维性颤动，一般的电击棒只产生约 0.003 A (3 mA) 。总而言之，电击棒的电压虽然很高，但是总电流量并不很多，因此20万伏特只是瞬间，电流其实一下子就停止了，所以并不至于对人体造成太大的伤害。雖然電擊棒的電流並不會使一般人生命危險，但是使用此種防身武器還是有風險，醫生說，20万伏特以上的电压对人体的心脏有一定的影响，很有可能会发生心律不整和暂停的现象。使用这种防身武器，小心不要电到自己。

 

 

 

★那种防身器材最有效: 电击棒或是防身喷雾器?

 

 

 

电击棒或是防身喷雾器是各有所长。电击棒适用于近身防卫，而喷雾器则可让你与攻击者保持些距离(2-3 公尺)。 喷雾器必须喷洒于脸部才可使其发挥效用，喷雾的作用主要是使对方暂时丧失视力，呼吸道强烈咳嗽，浑身难受，10-20分钟以后才能恢复正常，这样就可以使你争取时间报警或逃离危险处镜或成功制服歹徒。而电击棒则无攻击部位的限制，任何身体部份都会受到电击力量的影响。除了皮革制品外，电击几乎可穿透一般衣物。

 

 

 

★如何使用电击棒?  

 

 

 

预防胜于侦破。我们强烈的建议你熟悉电击器材使用方法并养成自身警觉性。当你觉的身处于危险地区例如停车场及暗巷中，将防身器材拿于手上，保持警戒狀態。
每只电击器上都有前端电击针或电击接触区，将电击发射点接触对方身体，通常最佳的电击位置为臀部上方，胸匣两侧，及上肩胛处。手脚四肢也可，但是效果较弱 。一般来说5-10 秒的电击以可以暂时制伏歹徒并让你能够脱离现场寻求警方及他人的帮助。電擊棒的電力越強則效果越佳，但是小型电击棒也有轻巧方便的优势 。当使用小型电击棒时电击时间可能需要久些为佳。相对来说 ，对付体型较大的歹徒则需较长的电击时间。
